2: Go quickly to Riften and do the quest to deliver a knife.1: Wait the 5+ minutes after every battle and spam healing aura.My problem is, illusion isn't much better even after hitting level-20, despite you "only" need to have either muffle, blur or invisible on for 14 minutes and 10 seconds (from 21 to 22) while with darkvision you need double the time.Īs for restoration, where's 3 methods to use here: Illusin to level-20, yes this is a slow and painful process - but it is doable by just walking-around with darkvision on the times you're in cities. Leleving resto and illusion to apprentice is something you have to do through trainers Also, if you have survival mods, then you'd be forced to stop training I guess, and go out and eat or drink or sleep. The trainer would stop training you if for, let's say, it's already closing time of the shop or if it's already late. If this were implemented in Skyrim, it would make pure sense. In Morrowind whenever you train, time passes by, IIRC. My only gripe with it is that training should work like in Morrowind-training should take time. So in a sense, instead of me using it to skip the real experience of playing, as well as power leveling, I just train as I please without worrying too much. There's this thought in my head that says "it's okay not to train because you can train 20 times if you want to in one go". The last few levels, I didn't even train. I kinda checked how many times I trained alchemy: for the first level, I trained it like 13 times, for the second, about 5, and for the third, about 3. With 20 sessions allowed for training, I don't need to think of that and I can train whenever I please. Plus, it makes me power level too much because I'm always thinking "I can only train 5 times so I have to avoid levelling up my skills too much). I don't like the 5 sessions per level because I can't think of an RP reason behind it. I get why people buy levels, but I think it's pointless and kinda kills the roleplay (for certain skills). To really become a master pickpocket you have to pick pockets. What else can someone teach you about heavy armor? Or how to pick pocket besides a few tricks, most of that stuff comes from getting in the dirt and actually doing it. Archery / One handed / Heavy Armor / Sneak / Speech/ Pick Pocketing, all are things you can't really "teach" beyond a certain point. I'm okay with buying levels in something that MAKES sense, for example, alchemy is a very teachable skill, therefore you should be able to buy levels if you have the gold. I get some people have multiple characters so they like to hurry through the beginning, but to me it's like why rush through the beginning.Īnother thing is, some things shouldn't be able to be taught from a roleplay standpoint. Like what is your characters origin "Oh so I went to riverwood chopped firewood for 2 days in-game and became a master archer by paying this dude to teach me". Like you skipped so much of the game, and what could shape your character, etc. If you are level 7 and just trained all the way to say, 75 in marksman it just feels off to me. Roleplay wise, skill trainers ruin a lot of the fun for me cause I feel like I'm skipping a very crucial point of character development, the beginning, his/her story, how they came to where they are, or where they are going.
